After Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli, the newly-announced 100% Cricket Superstar Mandhana reached the milestone faster than any Indian woman player. Dhawan reached 3000 runs in ODIs in 72 innings whereas Kohli did so in 75. Mandhana reached the milestone in her 76th innings, one innings more than Kohli did.

After Mithali Raj and Harmanpreet Kaur, the left-handed opener from India, who made her ODI debut in 2013, has 3000-plus runs in the format with five hundreds and 24 fifties.

Only two women's players—Belinda Clark (62 innings) and Meg Lanning—have reached the milestone sooner than Mandhana out of the 22 who have more than 3000 ODI runs (64 innings).

Only seven other women's batsmen have amassed more runs in ODIs since their debut than she has. Only three women have, however, amassed more fifty-plus scores in ODIs throughout this time.

India is currently playing England in the second series of the ICC Women's Championship cycle. The competition determines who will play in the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup in 2025.

Mandhana helped India win by seven wickets on Sunday in Hove by scoring an impressive 91 off 99 balls to start the series. She got off to a good start in the second ODI as well, reaching 40 off 51 balls before Sophie Ecclestone trapped her in front.

Mandhana was one of the five new ICC 100% Cricket Superstars who were unveiled last month. She made the list alongside Fatima Sana of Pakistan, Ashleigh Gardner of Australia, Sophia Dunkley of England, and Gaby Lewis of Ireland.
