Storyline of Thank God Movie

A hugely indebted, egotistical real estate broker has an accident. He becomes cognizant and understands that he is in heaven. God makes an appearance in front of him and tells him that he must play a "GAME OF LIFE." If he succeeds, he will be returned to earth; if he fails, he will be condemned to hell.

Boycott

A campaign to boycott the film is underway, with the hashtag #BoycottThankGod trending on twitter, as some Hindu organisations believe it to be offensive to Hindu values and sensibilities.

Unpleasant Scenes

Demands for sequences to be cut include Ajay Devgan's derogatory portrayal of Chitragupta, whom Hindus revere as a God, a couple moments in which inappropriately dressed ladies are shown surrounding him, and one in which the Siddharth Malhotra character is seen grasping Ajay Devgan by the collar.

Threats and Protests

The Prime Minister and other dignitaries have been requested to intervene in the situation by some Kayastha organizations. They have threatened to go on aggressive protests against the film. In Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, an effigy of Ajay Devgan was burnt by the members of the community.
