With Disney+ Hotstar, Digital Refresh Networks (DRN) has debuted its original IP, "The Great Indian Disruptors."
The Great Indian Disruptors, a new series on Disney+ Hotstar, features Sunstone, one of India's top higher education start-ups with a presence in more than 35 cities and 40 institutions. Five Indian entrepreneurs' journeys and the disruptions they brought about in their respective industries are highlighted in the series.
The purpose of the presentation is to showcase both the entrepreneurs' vision and their very real problems. The episode exposes the impact made by the start-up after the disruptor(s) share their journey and then delves into the work environment, office life, inspirational people, and incidents that have happened and inspired business owners to construct their start-ups.
The five episodes of Season 1 of the programme tell the stories of Spice Money (rural fintech), OnSurity (insure tech), Waycool (agri tech), Sunstone (edu tech), and Infra.market (real estate).
The Great Indian Disruptors offers up a novel paradigm in brand storytelling, according to Barin Mukherjee, Co-Founder and CEO of DRN. We have been discussing OTT content as a major force in developing brand narratives in the future. This programme marks the beginning of our adventure and establishes DRN's expertise in the field of content.
"We are humbled to be featured in a presentation that highlights the disrupting tales of prominent start-ups in India," Spice Money founder Dilip Modi said. The goal of this programme is to spread awareness of Spice Money's commitment to promoting financial inclusion for rural communities that are underbanked and underserved. People will gain an understanding of the potential and challenges that rural India faces through this presentation, and we hope that they will work together to empower these communities, which will help the nation's economy thrive.
Sunstone has recently secured $35 million in Series C funding, led by previous investors Westbridge Capital. Sunstone has been steadfast in its pursuit of closing the skill gap between the business world and academics, and the series brilliantly documents their path.
We are honoured to have been included in the series, and Mr. Ashish Munjal, Co-founder and CEO of Sunstone, commented, "We are thrilled to be accompanied by such accomplished and bright disruptors who have made their mark. We will be able to spread awareness of Sunstone and its tale to a number of Indian households thanks to this relationship. The ability to spread our vision of making education accessible, affordable, and accountable to millions of homes throughout the nation is what excites us the most about this platform.
The country is experiencing an increase in job demand, and it is clear that different levels of training are required and being provided. Through industry-focused training and skill interventions at the higher education level, Sunstone was founded with the goal of closing the supply and demand gaps in the labour market. Sunstone acts as a catalyst to help higher education institutions understand recruiter demand and subsequently enable them to reinvent themselves in response to the demand.
The series, which celebrates the spirit of entrepreneurship, profiles Indian businessmen and doers from all backgrounds. Watch the ups and downs the Sunstone founders experienced in their quest to offer a comprehensive solution to the higher education sector here (The Great Indian Disruptors)
