The fifth episode of House of the Dragon is about to release, and with it comes anticipation for the upcoming time jump in which several cast members will be replaced by more experienced actors and actresses.

The much-anticipated clash between Fire and Blood is finally being teased by House of the Dragon after introducing us to numerous significant Houses in Westeros. Rhaenyra Targaryen and Alicent Hightower have so far maintained a cordial and polite relationship, but that is probably going to alter in the following episodes.

In the previous episode, Viserys discovered that his daughter had secretly left the palace with Damien and that the two had travelled to the seedy areas of the metropolis. Rhaenyra's little prank incensed Viserys, who urges her to wed Laenor Velaryon without causing any more issues. Surprisingly, Rhaenyra consents to wed in order to forge diplomatic relations, but she requests that her father kick Otto Hightower off the council.

Rhaenyra claims that Otto will go to whatever lengths, including using his influence over the King, to usurp Alicent's son from the Iron Throne. Otto is removed from his position by Viserys, but it is likely that the King's choice will worsen the situation for the House Targaryen. Every choice Viserys makes will trigger the Dance of the Dragons, the civil conflict that will take place under Targaryen rule. It's uncertain whether Episode 5 will feature the next (and largest) time jump that the show will feature before that.

This Sunday, September 18th, 2022, at 9 PM ET (Easter Timing)/6 PM PT, Episode 5 of House of the Dragon is set to air on HBO Max (Pacific Timing). However, the release date would be Monday, September 19th, for some locations, because to the time difference. Anyway, the precise release time for Episode 5 for various areas is as follows:
