The day is significant because Lord Vishnu is worshipped with the Anant Sutra, a 14-knot thread, fastened to his hand.

HISTORY OF ANANT CHATURDASHI
Sushila, the daughter of the Brahmins, took the "Anant vow" on this day after being married. She was granted a rich life by Lord Anant after her marriage to Kaundinya. She adhered to meticulous instructions in order to obtain Lord Vishnu's Anant form blessings and good fortune.
But her husband thought he earned everything via his labour and didn't believe in the gifts of Lord Anant. Then they both experienced a lot of bad luck and lived miserable lives. Kaundinya then realised the cause of his failure and began conducting rituals anew for a better life and riches. In response to their final request for pardon, Lord Vishnu manifests in his avatar as Lord Anant.

The universe is thought to have been created by Lord Vishnu. Later, he continued to exist as Ananta. He also goes by the name Anant Padmanabhaswamy from the Keralan city of Thiruvananthapuram.
PUJA VIDHI FOR ANANT CHATURDASHI 2022

The home-cooked dish should first be offered as Bhog to the deity. The Bhog should include jaggery. Pray to Satyanarayan when feeding a cow the bhog. When completing the ceremony, don't forget to wear the Anant Sutra on your wrist.
